If you don't want to hassle with replacing your tv or samsung support, you can purchase a Wii A/V Cable and some sort of external speaker that will take composite audio http://protectfileapps.com/no-sound/no-sound-on-wii.html Check that the correct settings are being used on the Wii U. If you see a setting for tv speakers and it is set to on it will mute the sound from the monitors speakers. I've tried 2 HDMI cables. but now i think it's a handshake issue between the wii u and the tv. On the TV, are the component and hdmi cables you have plugged in assigned to different inputs ('video 2', 'video 3'). Anyway you might want to try another cable or reconnecting everything. I was bowling and got a strike and there was a loud crackle and the sound went off.
