From your post I understand that you already have formatted your WD drive as FAT 32.I am aware that the USB3 format is purported to be backwards compatible with USB 2 Ps3 Ntfs People don't understand what the WD security software is and just keep blurting out stuff about deleting some hidden partition, files etc. but this passport was made to be powered from a usb plugin, how come my pc supplies enough power for it and the ps3 isn't?

I know the drive has to be formatted to FAT32 which i have already done and it still will not pop up on my PS3's XMB.
It was awesome. I've used a 320GB My Passport drive for the same job for a little while now with no problems, so I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. PS3 does not read a USB device with GPT even though in the table all the partitions are FAT32. Please try again later.
